Nine days later

So here I am on the 10th June, and what has been happening? Well same old, same old. We just plod on, although the weather has been very warm. Much hotter than we normally get this time of the year. The first rain in over two weeks has just come down and even that was not much. Normally I would not argue, as we have had enough rain over the winter months. But the garden is dry and needs some spring rain.

I am going away next week to the peak district for a couple of days, so that will make a nice change. Hopefully some nice photos when we get back to post. We are probably going to visit Chatsworth house while we are there. One of the great houses of the UK. I have been there before and it will be well worth a visit again.

So what else? To be honest not a lot, which is why I have not blogged recently. It is nice to put something on here! Although I have made appointments to see two hearing specialists. I have a NHS hearing aid, and I am just missing a lot of things. I am reluctant to pay for another, but as Denise says, I would pay the same for a good holiday, but not for something that would change my life.

Of course all we hear on the TV and see on the papers is the bloody E.U. referendum. One side comes out with a load of crap, so the opposing side has to come out with even more crap. Don't these politicians realize that they are putting off the voter, not turning them on?

And now, we have Euro 2016. More bloody football just as the season has come to an end. And if you don't like to watch 20 men trying to kick a bag of wind behind two more, you are thought of as weird and heaven help you if you want to go into a pub, as all there is, is bloody football on the TV.

OK, that is my moan and I will wish you all a good week ahead.

More snow in Wales

Well the forecast said so but luckily in Cardiff so far at least it has stayed away. Just rain and cold but at least we can get out in that. We both have appointments today in the same hospital, luckily two hours apart so hopefully mine which is the first will be well over before my wife's and we can get there on time.

I have a lump in my stomach called a lymphoma which is just a fatty lump really. I have had plenty of them over the years and not bothered with them. This one however is quite big and annoying me so I am going to see about getting it out. That should be only a day job and I will be home by the night.

My wife has had a massive sore on her foot for over three years now with no sign of healing up. She has regular appointments to see about it but today it is more urgent as the wound is very painful and I think infected again.

rembering when it did not rain

Well we have had sometimes this year when the rain did not come down. It seems a long time ago now though so I thought that I would put in a photo or two of those times. We spent a week with a friend from Holland in August. There were one or two days that week when the rain stopped and on one of them we went on the Brecon mountain railway.

We also had a day out in Cardiff Castle when the rain was coming down and I have put in some from the inside of that lovely place.

And for the last today I have put in one taken in the sun when we were in Ireland on holiday. If you actually read this drivel will you let me know so I know if it has been worth it?
