Just catching up

I have not posted for some time, but this rarely gets read anyway! I have a new and lovely lady in my life, and she has bought new meaning to it. We are just both quite peaceful people and are purely enjoying our time together.

A new friend

After thinking that it would never happen, I have made a new lady friend. Details later I think when we have known each other longer. But at the moment all seems to be going well.

Work is much as normal, that is to say boring. Nothing changes. My son has found a new job and at the moment is settling in well. I just hope it will stay that way.

Today it is the 24th December 2014. I would like to wish anyone that reads this a very Happy Christmas and a great 2014.

A new friend

A quiet normal week this week. To many hours in work but then it always is. Bloody cold though.

The temperature most of the week have been down to freezing. Then the last couple of days it has pissed down. Weird or what? But that is British weather for you.

I have met a new friend on Facebook. She is a member of one of the groups I belong to. We went out for a coffee to say hello the other day and now we are going out for a meal tonight. She is a nice person and we get on well. So who knows. More to post another day

catching up

Well I have just been checking out the blog and found that the past post was three years ago! And I was going to keep it updated weekly!

Oh well. After working with New Adventure, I moved in Sept. 2011 to Edwards coaches and drove for National Express with Edwards for two years. The cases all got a bit much as some heavy stuff was being put on somedays. I stayed with the same firm and have now moved on to the local buses.

A bit boring, but it is work and they are fair employers. I help out now and again with the National Express runs if they get caught out with someone going sick etc.

My own personal life is much the same. Fairly boring. I was in a relationship for a short while but that ended and now once again I am on my own. My son still lives at home and life just goes on.

Well here it is at last. A new post after about eight months of not posting. And what an eight months. My wife died in July last year after being ill in hospital for three months. That of course made huge changes in my life.

After the initial grief I had to go back to work. Apart from the financial side and I needed the money, I just could not sit in front of the TV or computer for hours on end. I went back full time to another firm called 'New Adventure Travel'. Back to my old job of bus driving.

Because of the retirement rules and my age I could not go back to my old company anyway and this job suits me. There is little stress and I just get on with it. I have been working long hours from 07.00 to 6.00pm but in the new year I have changed for shorter hours just until 4.30 pm. That will be easier and I do not need the longer shifts.

I will try and make this blog up to date more often. If anyone reads this can you let me know just so I know it has been seen.

Thursday 6th May

Well another bloody weird week. I have had to cancel the holiday once again. My wife has fallen down and broken a bone in her knee again. The same knee as the last one two years ago and once again she is in hospital. This time it will be for another two or three months again. I feel for her and she has gone through a bloody awful time, but on a personal note I am sick of hospitals!

Today is Election day over here. The chances of the present government getting back in are very slim I think. I have voted for them but then I have been a Labour voter all my life. But they have had a lot of bad press and the chances are we will have either a Conservative government or a hanged parliament with no party getting overall power. How that will work out who knows.

I am going to try and get out this morning to take some photos. I have a lovely brand new camera and I have not used it at all. I need to take photos!
